Rebuilding you're engine is the next stage you'll need to take if you are aiming for large power levels from your XR6 Turbo, Typhoon, Tornado, F6 or GT. The base BA XR6T engine is recommended to be rebuilt if the owner is seeking power levels higher than 360kw. The Typhoon, Tornado, F6 and BF series II XR6T engines do contain stronger conrods, but for the sake of longevity it is recommended that these engines are also rebuilt at power levels above 360rwkw. Autotech build all our engines in-house and have trained and qualified engineers.

For Power Levels to 600 Rwkw . The first stage of Autotech Engine rebuilding for the XR6T is catered for users wishing to push the factory turbocharger to its maximum output level.

The finished engine idles and performs as a stock engine with no piston rattle or balancing issues, yet preforms remarkably under extreme boost pressure. The kit involves complete strippping and inspection of the block, cryotemping, micro polishing, blueprint and balancing of the engine and components, Forged rods and forged pistons. The engine is assembled and run in on the Dyno and tuned. The consumer can then run the car for 1000 more kilometers before the engine is disassembled, checked and cleaned before the final retune of the ECU or management system.

For Power Levels over 600rwkw . The second stage of Autotech Engine rebuilding for race applications. It involves all the processes of the Stage 1 package but includes pistons and rods that are rated for applications over 1000hp. Customers will usually pair this upgrade with other upgrades that Autotech offers including:

Autotech Valve Spring Upgrades
Autotech Transmission Upgrades
Autotech 1000-1200 HP External gated Ball Bear Turbochargers
Autotech exhaust and Intake manifolds
