Second on the list of modifications for any vehicle, after retuning the factory ECU is fitting a high flow exhaust system. Not only are most factory exhausts inedible or lacking in the punch you need from your exhaust, they are restrictive and choke your engine's abilities to expel gages and fill its cylinders with fresh air and fuel to make greater power. A good exhaust system should add between 10 to 30 kilowatts to a vehicle and Autotech fits many popular brands of kit exhausts. However, a custom exhausts can be catered to suit special applications, including racing or high performance/low noise. We can make an exhaust to suit your needs and give your car the breathing room it needs to improve performance, drivability and fuel economy right across the rev range.

At Autotech we can do a wide variety of fabrications ranging from off the shelf muffler installs to full on twin turbo custom builds. Exhausts range from 2 inch to 5 inch mild steel or 304 grade stainless steel custom fabricated using the highest quality mandrel bends and tube. These systems are Tig welded for maximum strength and weld finish and flanged together using a large range of flanges from 2 bolt mild steel to 4 bolt stainless steel with a minimum thickness of 10 mm to stop distortion during welding. Mufflers we use range from well known brands to in many cases on custom big bore systems we use custom built mufflers with large amounts of packing to maintain maximum flow with minimum noise. As a fabricator we prefer to build custom exhausts using mandrel bends welded together as we can maintain closer clearances to allow the big bore systems to be fitted where there is minimum room. This is necessary as demonstrated with our recently completed  BA Falcon GT twin turbo system which have a twin 3.5 inch system into single 4.5 inch pipe over the Differential back into  twin 3.5 inch pipes using custom built mufflers and exiting via quad tips. 

Catalytic converters vary from 100 cell psi to 400 cell psi in small or large body configurations depending on flow required and fitting space available. When custom exhausts are completed the mild steel systems are coated in a ceramic based paint for longevity and stainless steel systems polished from a satin finish to mirror finish.

We also have a fully equipped machine shop comprising of vertical mill, lathe and CNC plasma cutter so hard to source exhaust and turbo flanges etc can be fabricated. This equipment also allows custom surge tanks, catch cans, brackets and fittings to be manufactured in house. The vertical mill also allows us to mill flat all flanges before coating and fitting to ensure no exhaust leaks. Our fabrication also covers making custom extractors, turbo manifolds,dump pipes and intercooler piping. Twist mount turbo setup for Subaru WRX, single or twin turbo for Ford and Holden are common fabrication jobs for Autotech. We are a workshop that enjoys a challenge and we have fitted turbo setups on many vehicles from  Toyota Landcruisers to Ford Escorts and all jobs can be completed with custom engine covers to under trays if the customer so desires.
